MathWorks, a US-based computer software company that specializes in mathematical computing software has recently announced expansion in Hyderabad. The organization has shifted its operations to a facility, which is 3 times bigger than its previous office in Hyderabad, cite sources.
For the record, MathWorks is a leader in developing mathematical computing software. Simulink and MATLAB are registered trademarks of MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB, is a programming environment for data analysis, algorithm development, numeric computation and visualization.
Simulink is used for simulation & model-based design of embedded engineering and multidomain systems. Scientists & engineers worldwide rely on these product families to accelerate the pace of development, discovery & innovation in aerospace, automotive, biotech-pharmaceutical, electronics, financial services and other industries. MATLAB and Simulink are recognized as fundamental research & teaching tools in universities and learning institutions across the world.
Reportedly, the office at Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City covers an area of approximately 1.18 lakh sq. ft. with a seating capacity of 750 people. The firm has announced 70 new job openings in quality engineering, product development & application engineering positions.
As per sources close to the matter, with the expansion in Hyderabad, MathWorks now has 3.15 lakh square feet of office space in India, employing more than 700 people in its offices in Pune, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The company has over 4,500 employees in 16 countries across the globe. MathWorks has built a user network of 40 lakh scientists, engineers, researchers & students in over 1 lakh government, business, and university sites in different countries.
Rama Rao Sreeramaneni, Senior Director at Hyderabad MathWorks was reportedly quoted saying that the firm provides engineers & scientists with the tools which are required to drive innovation in various sectors such as aerospace, automotive manufacturing finance and medical devices.
