The successful completion of the Compliance Certification offers PLDA’s PCIe designer immense assurance, with the company’s XpressRICH IP ticking every checkbox required in the PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0.
PLDA SAS, the market expert in data interconnect solutions and PCI Express® IP, recently announced that its XpressRICH™ PCIe® Controller IP has passed every Interoperability and Gold tests at the PCI-SIG® Compliance Workshop, which was held in Burlingame, CA, making it the first workshop to witness official PCIe 4.0 specification tests.
According to reports, the testing was performed using the company’s XpressRICH Controller IP for the PCIe 4.0 specification, built on an add-in card Gen4ENDPOINT based on FPGA. Sources claim that during the same Compliance Workshop, the company also managed to advance the PCIe 3.0 compliance tests for its XpressRICH IP, proving that the updated IP architecture and latest features are still fully compliant with the PCIe 3.0 specification.
Reportedly, PCIe 4.0 is currently at a major inflection point. The first PCIe 4.0 processors are now being deployed in the market, producing higher bandwidth for numerous PCIe-attached devices. With official PCIe 4.0 compliance testing now accessible, developers can increase the deployment of SoC designs based on PCIe platform, which is vital for enabling cutting edge applications in Automotive, AI, Enterprise Server, cloud, storage and PC/Mobile/IoT.
