Hero Electric & EVIFY to deploy 1000 e-scooters in the next 2 years
  • 50 scooters are already in making & will be delivered by the end of May.
  • Hero Electric plans to leverage its resources and support more such partners in the upcoming months.

Hero Electric has reportedly partnered with EVIFY Logitech Pvt. Ltd., a tech-based logistics company for EVs, to deploy 1000 electric scooters in the upcoming two years.

The company stated that the first 50 scooters are in production and will be delivered by next month along with 500 EVs which will be delivered to EVIFY by the end of 2022, to deploy further in multiple 2 and 3-tier cities.

Sohinder Gill, the CEO at Hero Electric cited that B2B partnerships would enable the EV industry to utilize and share partner strengths and expertise to work toward the zero-emission vision, and the major reason why the company partnered with EVIFY is to support its long-term vision of electrifying the last-mile delivery segment.

Gill added that Hero Electric plans to leverage its resources and support more such partners soon.

EVIFY CEO Devrishi Arora stated that the massive potential in the ongoing EV revolution would become a leading factor in enabling the transformation of logistic solutions. With the help of this partnership, they intend on revamping the entire logistics landscape in India.

In similar developments, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. announced its plan to introduce its all-electric CUV, Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV in 2022 to expand its battery electric vehicle portfolio in India.

After Kona EV, Ioniq 5, Hyundai’s second electric car in the country, was revealed during the event in Delhi-NCR when the company showcased its compact electric car.

Moreover, Hyundai is also intending to expand its OEM’s battery electric portfolio up to six models in India by 2028.
