EPICTOUCH, a leading rural broadband service provider in SW Kansas, has reportedly announced that it has completed its acquisition of CP-TEL Holdings, Inc., (CP-TEL), a leading broadband service provider in Northwest Louisiana.
Reports cite, apart from CP-TEL Holdings Inc., EPICTOUCH also acquired its all of its subsidiaries. According to sources, EPICTOUCH procured 100% shares of CP-TEL in a stock transaction.
The CEO of EPICTOUCH, Trenton D. Boaldin stated that the company’s broadband subscriber base would see a fivefold increase or more after acquisition. It would be a crucial milestone for the company’s strategy of growing through strategic expansion and acquisitions. Boaldin further added that the company looks forward to furthering its growth and strengthening broadband services throughout its growing market.
The President and CEO of CP-TEL, Richard Gill stated that he is thrilled to see what the alliance of both the companies will bring to the market. Gill further added that he looks forward to seeing how EPICTOUCH performs in new markets as it grows through additional strategic expansions and acquisitions.
According to the terms of the agreement, Richard Gill would stay on as CP-TEL General Manager. Moreover, as both Gill and Boaldin are aligned towards continued growth of the company, the number of employees working at both organizations would remain the same.
For the record, EPICTOUCH was established in October 1956 and facilitated communication services for customers of Elkhart Telephone Company since October of 1956. Since then, the company has established itself as a leader in rural broadband service provider.
Meanwhile, CP-TEL, established 1933, started as a telephone company providing service to the areas of Pleasant Hill and Campti. Today, it has grown into a progressive independent telecommunications firm that provides services such as long distance, Internet and cloud computing.
According to reports, the Rural Telephone Finance Cooperative (RTFC) is said to have worked closely with the EPICTOUCH for financing the proposed acquisition.
