Amazon and Viacom International Studios have signed a content deal to distribute two VIS produced Latin American series Homens? and Dani Who? to Prime Video.
As per credible sources, Homens? is a sitcom starring Fabio Porchat and it revolves around the lives of four close friends. Reliable reports affirm that the show has been conceptualized by Brazil’s leading comedy content provider & part of VIS brands.
The second show, Dani Who? created and produced by VIS follows the life of Dani and her friends as they investigate their shared origin following a friend’s disappearance, which takes them down a path of deeper and darker secrets. The show is set to enter production in 2019.
Pierluigi Gazzolo, President of VIMN – Americas said in a statement that the company is happy to collaborate with Amazon on this significant deal. The team has worked closely with Amazon to produce tailor-made package to suffice Latin America’s content needs and to expand the reach of VIS’s content across the region. Gazzolo further mentioned that the company anticipates continuing this partnership and delivering premium content to its shared audiences throughout the region.
According to sources familiar with the development, both the shows will add to Prime Video’s growing slate of Latin America’s exclusive streaming titles which include The Good Doctor, Falco, and Mr. Robot. The local original series till date include critically acclaimed shows such as Diablo Guardian, Un Extrano Enemigo and the upcoming series LOL: Last One Laughing featuring actor Eugenio Derbez. The show is set for a global release on December 14.
Both Homens? and Dani Who? will be released globally and be up for exclusive streaming on Prime Video and accessible through Smart TV apps, Fire TV, smartphones and other online devices in over 200 countries and territories. Prime members can also download the series on their phones and enjoy offline viewing for no extra charges.
