Guess?, Inc., an American clothing brand and retailer has recently declared that it is entering into a partnership with Alipay, Alibaba’s third-party mobile and online payment platform. Reportedly, through the Alipay application, the partnership between the two aims to ease the payment experience of Chinese tourists visiting Guess? stores in the U.S.
Sources state that the payment option will be available at 50 select Guess? stores across New York, California and Las Vegas. Chinese tourists shopping at Guess? stores in the U.S. would be able to now use the Alipay App for convenient, streamlined, and secure mode of payments that they are familiar with, cite sources.
Alipay is one of China’s leading digital payment providers and the primary source of mobile and online payment for Chinese consumers.
According to reports, Guess, Guess Factory, Guess Accessories, Marciano & GbG, are some of the selected U.S. stores where Alipay will be available. Through the company’s “Discover” function based upon geolocation & push notification feature within the app, Chinese customers can locate Guess? stores near them, make flexible purchase decisions, as well as receive promotional messages.
