Great eye as usual.  Perhaps a slightly different size would have worked better, however?  Square maybe?  That would have given a better look at the larger fractals, 'between the lines'.

Well, I've done many of my fractals square, but in this particular case, I liked the two corners showing the yellowish-orangish tones. Using a square would have cut those corners out. That would have isolated the spiral better, yes, but this time I wanted both the center and the periphery.

I agree with your comments on the two corners - that's actually why I was thinking square - that way we'd see it in all four corners ...  I'll expand upon my comments in the topic you created regarding this (http://fractovia.org/bb/index.php?topic=16.0)

Very nice image.  I really like the subdued colors and the dark tones, it gives the image a rich look.  It's neat how spirals like these have what looks like an iris in the center making the whole thing look like an eye.  I have a similar image on my website here: http://ambaka.com/sterling/gallery/xaos/image_33.htm  Cool title name too.
